Florida State Rep. Bob Allen was convicted on Friday of soliciting a sex act in a park bathroom. Remember back in July when the Rep. offered to pay $20.00 to perform oral sex on an undercover officer. His defense involved fear of the black man. "This was a pretty stocky black guy, and there was nothing but other black guys around in the park," Allen said. He went onto state he feared he "was about to be a statistic" and would have said anything just to get away. No one bought that sack of horse manure then and the jury wasn't buying it in court on Friday. Now, Rep. Allen is facing up to 60 days in the county jail and a $500 fine. Prosecutors said after the verdict was announced that they intend to seek jail time. In addition, Allen's conviction has led to Florida legislative leaders discussing how to remove him from office.
